Overview
Avengers Assemble! is an epic, high-energy 30-minute live stage show performed on the Garden Stage in Disney Imagination Garden aboard the Disney Adventure cruise ship. Guests can enjoy fantastic views from the garden area below or from surrounding guest room balconies. It's packed with jaw-dropping stunts, special effects, aerial action, and an all-star cast of Marvel Super Heroes and Villains battling it out in a thrilling story that brings the excitement of Stark Expo right to the ship!
Show Highlights & Story Summary
The show kicks off with Daily Bugle reporter Andy Anderson warming up the crowd by interviewing guests about their favorite Marvel characters. A special message arrives from the ship's captain (who bears an uncanny resemblance to the legendary Stan Lee), setting the stage for the adventure.
Iron Man (Tony Stark) makes his grand entrance, welcoming everyone to Stark Expo and introducing fellow heroes: Ant-Man (Scott Lang), Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff), and Captain America (Sam Wilson).
Iron Man and Ant-Man reveal the star of the show: the Quantum Power Orb, a powerful device that can create temporary portals. Despite some hesitation from Black Widow and Captain America, they proceed with a test to summon Captain Marvel — but things go hilariously wrong, and Ms. Marvel arrives instead!
Chaos erupts when Loki appears, intent on stealing the orb. His brother Thor portals in to stop him. Outnumbered, Loki calls in backup: Red Skull emerges atop a central archway, commanding Hydra agents who swarm the ship (shown via dramatic security footage on the stage screens).
Iron Man and Ant-Man call for reinforcements, and Black Panther dramatically descends from above! The Avengers divide to battle Hydra, safeguard the orb, and protect guests — with Andy Anderson even getting in on the action by taking down a Hydra agent onstage.
Action spills across the ship as guests see video clips of the heroes fighting off enemies. Black Widow takes on several agents right on stage, and Spider-Man swings in spectacularly to join the fray.
More heroes rally as a fresh wave of Hydra agents attacks. Then Taskmaster and his Task Force arrive, challenging Black Widow, Captain America, Spider-Man, and Black Panther in intense combat.
Just when things look tough, Deadpool drops in from the ceiling with his signature flair ("Your savior has arrived!"), helping dispatch the Task Force and taking on Taskmaster's mimicry skills in a wild showdown.
Taskmaster activates the orb anyway, ripping open more portals and unleashing bizarre intruders like zombie Captain America, Ultron, and the Tracksuit Mafia. Red Skull climbs to one of the ship's funnels for a dramatic fight with Deadpool (captured on the big screen), ending with Deadpool getting flung and landing on an Ironcycle test vehicle with a lucky guest!
Back on stage, Loki and Red Skull confront Thor and Spider-Man. In a twist, Red Skull betrays Loki, grabs his scepter, and declares himself a god — supercharging the orb with its power.
Desperation mounts until Scarlet Witch (Wanda Maximoff) floats in, drawn to the orb's energy in hopes of reuniting with her family. As her chaos magic threatens to tear the ship apart, Dr. Strange arrives to battle both her and Red Skull.
Scarlet Witch ultimately defeats Red Skull but demands the orb. With reality tearing open, Loki reveals he was trying to prevent exactly this catastrophe. Dr. Strange persuades Scarlet Witch to help save the families aboard — combining her magic with Thor's hammer and one of Strange's portals to safely redirect and contain the orb's unstable quantum energy.
The heroes come together for a triumphant group photo, followed by a fun, high-energy dance party to celebrate the victory!
After the show, Ms. Marvel and Spider-Man stick around to mingle with guests and pose for photos.
