Disney Believe Grand Hall

  • Influences from the film’s idyllic South Pacific setting, which will be layered with artisanal Polynesian finishes that honor the cultural traditions of the region

  • The Grand Hall, the Disney Believe’s central gathering space, will embrace the spirit of exploration and the power of nature with an architectural meeting of the sky and sea as a statue of Moana, along with her trusty companions Pua and Heihei, guide visitors on their upcoming voyage. This heart of the ship will incorporate influences from the film’s Pacific Islands setting and design elements inspired by the sea itself, including an ocean-hued carpet adorned with bioluminescent colors and a chandelier modeled after the sea’s fluid movement with the heart of Te Fiti hidden within.

  • The heart of the ship will be an architectural meeting of the sky and sea, with details inspired by the film and its Pacific Islands setting. From carpet adorned with ocean-hues to the ceiling scattered with constellations, and railings inspired by designs found within Moana’s skirt, the sea will most certainly call you to this central gathering place. Not to be missed will be the Grand Hall’s chandelier, which is modeled after the ocean’s fluid movement and has the heart of Te Fiti hidden within.

  • The Grand Hall will feature a sweeping, ocean-inspired design, with shades of blue flowing across the carpeting and into the surrounding architecture. Above, a deep blue ceiling will be filled with constellations and twinkling stars, reflecting the importance of celestial navigation in Moana’s story.

  • At the center of it all is an enormous chandelier that appears to capture the ocean in motion. Swirling shades of blue and turquoise create the look of a wave suspended overhead, surrounded by sparkling lights. Disney has also confirmed that the Heart of Te Fiti will be hidden within the chandelier, giving guests something special to search for when they board.

  • The railings feature decorative patterns inspired by the designs on Moana’s skirt, another thoughtful detail that connects the architecture to the film. Curving balconies overlook the Grand Hall, while the walls incorporate wave-like textures that continue the ocean theme throughout the space.

  • On the opposite side of the hall, the concept art shows a large stage framed by a dramatic archway. Performers appear beneath colorful curtains, while another decorative display sits above the stage. The illustration offers a glimpse of how the Grand Hall could be used for character appearances and entertainment throughout a sailing, although Disney hasn’t announced specific programming for the space.
