Disney Adventure Pop-Up Opens at Shanghai Disney Resort’s Disneytown
Disney Cruise Line has launched a limited-time pop-up exhibition at Disneytown in Shanghai Disney Resort, giving mainland China guests an early look at the Disney Adventure, the first Disney cruise ship to homeport in Asia.
The immersive display opened to the public on November 4, 2026, and runs daily from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. through January 15, 2027. Located adjacent to Shanghai Disneyland, the exhibition centers on a roughly 40-meter installation inspired by the ship’s exterior. Guests encounter a replica of the Disney Adventure’s bow with Disney characters appearing in portholes, a backdrop representing the ship’s deck, and statues of Captain Mickey and Minnie that greet visitors at the entrance.
Interactive screens, detailed ship models, and cross-section artwork highlight themed spaces drawn from Disney, Pixar, and Marvel. The experience is designed to introduce Chinese guests to the ship’s storytelling and onboard atmosphere before they consider sailing from Singapore.
Disney Cruise Line Vice President and Regional General Manager for Southeast Asia Sarah Fox attended the grand opening alongside Shanghai Disney Resort President and General Manager Andrew Bolstein. Fox noted that the Disney Adventure “opens an exciting new chapter for Disney Cruise Line in Asia” and that the collaboration with Shanghai Disney Resort offers guests in the Chinese mainland “a special way to step into that story before beginning their holiday in Singapore.” Bolstein added that the activation gives guests “more reasons to visit the resort and discover the many ways Disney delights audiences across the region.”
The Disney Adventure currently sails three- and four-night itineraries from Singapore. Select four-night voyages begin calling at Langkawi, Malaysia, starting December 31, 2026. Promotional fares offering 20% to 40% off are available depending on sailing dates. A National Geographic documentary about the ship is also scheduled to premiere on Disney+ later this month.
The pop-up provides Shanghai visitors a tangible preview of Disney Cruise Line’s newest vessel while strengthening the connection between the resort and the growing Asian cruise market.
