Disney Wish Returns to New York City

One of the biggest announcements is the return of the Disney Wish to New York City.

The Disney Wish will arrive in New York in late September 2027 following its inaugural European season. The ship will operate seven special voyages, ranging from four to seven nights.

The itineraries will combine the excitement of departing from New York with cruises to destinations including Bermuda, New England and Atlantic Canada.

Bermuda Cruises from New York

Five of the Disney Wish sailings from New York will visit Bermuda, giving families the opportunity to experience the island's famous pink-sand beaches and distinctive culture.

Three of those cruises will spend an additional day in Bermuda, allowing guests more time ashore.

Fall Cruises to New England and Canada

The Disney Wish will also return to New England and Canada's Atlantic coast, marking Disney Cruise Line's first return to these destinations in nearly four years.

Fall itineraries will feature ports including:

  • Boston, Massachusetts

  • St. John, New Brunswick

  • Halifax, Nova Scotia

For families who love cruising during the fall, these sailings could offer a particularly scenic combination of Disney Cruise Line and the changing colors of New England and Atlantic Canada.

More Disney Cruises from San Juan

San Juan, Puerto Rico will also play a larger role in Disney Cruise Line's Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 schedule.

The Disney Wish will sail from San Juan on a seven-night Southern Caribbean itinerary featuring stops in:

  • Aruba

  • St. Maarten

  • Bonaire

  • Dominica

The Disney Fantasy will also offer additional opportunities to cruise from Puerto Rico.

In December 2027, the Disney Fantasy will operate a seven-night Southern Caribbean sailing followed by a five-night Eastern Caribbean cruise ending in Fort Lauderdale.

The ship will return to San Juan in spring 2028 for two additional seven-night Southern Caribbean cruises visiting destinations including Curaçao, Bonaire, Barbados and Antigua.

Disney Magic Adds New Panama Canal Ports

The Disney Magic will once again take guests through the Panama Canal, with two 14-night repositioning cruises planned for the Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 seasons.

The first will sail eastbound from San Diego to Galveston in November 2027.

The itinerary will include a maiden call at Fuerte Amador, near Panama City, Panama.

In March 2028, the Disney Magic will make the return journey, sailing westbound from Galveston to San Diego.

That sailing will include a maiden call at Colón, Panama, located on the Caribbean side of the Panama Canal.

These longer repositioning cruises can be particularly appealing to guests who enjoy spending more time onboard while combining sea days with destinations that aren't typically included on shorter Caribbean cruises.

Disney Destiny Comes to Port Canaveral

Another major change for the Fall 2027 season will be the arrival of the Disney Destiny at Port Canaveral.

For the first time, the Disney Destiny will call Port Canaveral home, offering three- to seven-night cruises to the Bahamas and Western Caribbean.

Before heading to Port Canaveral, the Disney Destiny will begin its Fall 2027 season from Fort Lauderdale, where it will offer three- to five-night cruises to the Bahamas and Western Caribbean.

The ship's heroes-and-villains theme will continue to be a major part of the onboard experience, including dining and entertainment.

Three Wish-Class Ships at Port Canaveral

Disney Cruise Line's expanding fleet will create another interesting development at Port Canaveral.

Beginning in November 2027, three Wish Class ships will be based at Port Canaveral.

The Disney Destiny will join the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, giving families near Walt Disney World even more choices for a Disney cruise vacation.

The Disney Wish will return to Port Canaveral after its New York and San Juan deployments and operate three- and four-night Bahamian cruises.

Those itineraries will include Disney Cruise Line's two Bahamian destinations:

  • Disney Castaway Cay

  • Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point

The Disney Treasure will continue primarily with seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries, along with select longer and shorter sailings.

The Disney Dream will also operate from Port Canaveral before moving to Fort Lauderdale in November 2027.

Disney Fantasy Expands Its Florida Itineraries

The Disney Fantasy will spend September through November 2027 sailing from Port Canaveral on four- and five-night cruises to the Bahamas and Western Caribbean.

The ship will then reposition to San Juan before moving to Fort Lauderdale for additional cruises.

One especially notable itinerary will be an eight-night Bermuda sailing from Fort Lauderdale that also visits both of Disney Cruise Line's Bahamian destinations.

More Disney Cruises from California

The West Coast will also see increased Disney Cruise Line activity.

Both the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder will sail from San Diego through early November 2027.

The ships will offer three- to seven-night cruises to destinations along Baja California and Mexico's Pacific coast.

The Disney Wonder will remain in San Diego for the Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 seasons, with itineraries visiting destinations including:

  • Ensenada, Mexico

  • Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

  • Catalina Island, California

The Disney Magic will head east after its Panama Canal sailing and spend the season cruising from Galveston.

Disney Magic Returns to Galveston

Following its eastbound Panama Canal voyage, the Disney Magic will return to Galveston, Texas, where it will operate four- to seven-night cruises.

Select seven-night Bahamian itineraries will visit both Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.

This gives Texas-based Disney Cruise Line guests another opportunity to experience both of Disney's island destinations without having to travel to Florida first.

Disney Adventure Continues Sailing from Singapore

Disney Cruise Line's international expansion will continue with the Disney Adventure sailing from Singapore.

New three- and four-night itineraries will operate from September through December 2027.

The ship will continue offering Disney Cruise Line entertainment and experiences while exploring Southeast Asia.

New Disney Adventure Port: Langkawi, Malaysia

The Disney Adventure will also introduce a new port of call at Langkawi, Malaysia on select sailings beginning December 31, 2026, with the destination continuing into 2027.

Langkawi offers guests the opportunity to explore tropical scenery, rainforests and the island's coastline during their time ashore.

Themed Cruises and Expansion of the Fleet

Halloween on the High Seas will begin in September 2027 on select sailings.

  • Guests can expect the return of Disney's Halloween-themed cruise experience, including costumed Disney characters, special entertainment, deck parties and trick-or-treating.

Very Merrytime Cruises Return

  • Following Halloween, Very Merrytime Cruises will return in November and December 2027.

  • The holiday sailings will feature festive decorations, seasonal entertainment, a tree-lighting celebration, special treats and appearances by Santa Claus.

  • For families who enjoy combining a Disney cruise with the holiday season, these sailings remain one of the most popular ways to experience Disney at sea.

Disney Cruise Line's Fleet Continues to Expand

The Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 schedules demonstrate just how much Disney Cruise Line's expanding fleet is changing the company's deployment strategy.

Guests will have opportunities to sail from:

  • New York City

  • Port Canaveral

  • Fort Lauderdale

  • San Juan

  • San Diego

  • Galveston

  • Singapore

At the same time, Disney is returning to favorite destinations while adding new ports and longer repositioning cruises.

For Disney Cruise Line fans, the biggest takeaway may be the sheer number of choices now available.

Whether you're looking for a short Bahamian getaway, a weeklong Caribbean cruise, a fall sailing from New York, a Panama Canal adventure or a Southeast Asia itinerary aboard the Disney Adventure, the Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 seasons will offer plenty of options.
