Fourth Wish Class Ship Named

Disney Believe

Disney Cruise Line has officially named its ninth ship — and the fourth in the innovative Wish class — the Disney Believe. The announcement came today during The Walt Disney Company's Annual Meeting of Shareholders, marking one of Josh D’Amaro's early highlights.

The Disney Believe celebrates dreamers and doers everywhere who pursue their own happily ever after. As the latest chapter in the groundbreaking Wish class — where each ship features a unique motif shaping entertainment, venues, and décor — it follows the enchantment of the Disney Wish, the adventure of the Disney Treasure, and the heroes-and-villains spirit of the Disney Destiny. This vessel promises to blend immersive storytelling, state-of-the-art technology, and pure Disney magic in ways only Disney can deliver.

What sets Disney Believe apart is its inspiring theme: promise and possibilities. The ship will immerse guests in uplifting tales of Disney characters who embrace self-belief, chase their dreams, and envision a brighter future. Expect enchanting new interpretations of beloved worlds, including the vibrant magic of Encanto and Frozen, the iconic wishing wells from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and the ocean adventures of Moana and The Little Mermaid.

Construction on the Disney Believe is underway at Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany on track for delivery in 2027

The Disney Believe will mirror its sister ships: Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny. It will be approximately 144,000 gross tons, 1,119 feet in length, up to 4,000 guests in 1,254 staterooms, and have about 1,555 crew. Like the rest of the Wish-class fleet, it will run on liquefied natural gas (LNG), one of the most environmentally friendly marine fuels available.

This launch continues Disney Cruise Line's rapid fleet growth, which includes:

  • Disney Destiny (2025)

  • Disney Adventure (2026)

  • Three additional ships from an all-new, smaller class arriving in 2029, 2030, and 2031

  • A fifth Wish-class ship, operated by Oriental Land Company to Japan in 2029

By 2031, the Disney Cruise Line fleet will expand to 13 ships, delivering more magical family vacations across the globe. This exciting era of expansion reflects Disney Experiences' biggest period of growth ever, bringing unforgettable adventures to families worldwide.
