Celebration of the King directly contrasts the noble hero (T'Challa) with the self-serving trickster (Loki), while Sleeping Beauty: A Mostly Accurate Tale demonstrates how even a fairytale's plot is driven by the choices of a hero (Phillip) and a villain (Maleficent). Even the cultural showcase of Sounds of Wakanda highlights the deep-rooted community strength that grounds a hero like Black Panther.

  • This ship is perfect for a non-Disney Adult, Disney Adult or even Disney teenager

  • A lot of what makes DCL special is not sacrificed for the Destiny theming of Hero and Villains

  • Extra layer of entertainment on top of the standard DCL offerings and breathe life into new offerings

  • This ship is for Disney Millennial because it focuses on favorites that aren’t always being given DCL spotlight

  • Star Wats Galactic Star Cruiser as it seems they took theoretical lessons from that experience and applied it here in a way that feels special and intimate, but it is also scalable to the entirety of the cruise

  • No need to be a Marvel lover or expert but if you are you can really immerse yourself with the hidden easter eggs

  • Everything and everywhere is part of the narrative hero and villains from not just Marvel but Disney heroes and villains all woven into every aspect of the ship

  • Storytelling on this ship continue the whole time as you are welcomed in and then things happen and story evolving and then a finale at the end

  • You feel more invested as being a part of the story

  • You have the opportunity for continued interactions at the end of the shows or meet and greet

  • You can be as immersed as you want (look for it and just enjoy the moments)

  • Destiny is a ship where entertainment is built into every possible space. It feels like the entertainment team poured everything they had onto this ship and you can see it everywhere you go.

  • What stood out to me first was how the entertainment never feels like something that happens at a single time or in a single venue. On the Destiny it happens in motion. Characters do not just appear for a quick pit stop. They drop into spaces that are designed around them and it makes the encounters feel alive in a way I have not experienced on any other ship.

  • While on the ship, you will also notice that a few character stories unfold over multiple days, including narrative threads with characters like Spider Man and Loki that continue throughout the cruise. These arcs allow the characters to further connect with you and add to the sense that entertainment is happening all around you at all times.

  • These interactions are the clearest sign that the entertainment team wanted this ship to feel different than any other ship in the Disney fleet. Imagineering leadership describes the Destiny as a floating stage where impossible character moments were brought to life, and that is exactly how these encounters play out.

  • Ship has a foundation of live entertainment that is all interconnected because of the level of immersion with live entertainment
