Perform the duties of a soldier in Halifax, including marches and drills, while dressed in costume.
On this adventure you will…
Travel to the Citadel National Historic Site, Halifax's most popular attraction and one of Canada's most visited landmarks for a memorable Disney Exclusive.
Children will learn about military heritage and experience what life was like in the mid-19th century by participating in fun activities around the Citadel, a fortress which served as home to tens of thousands of people including the children of British and Canadian soldiers.
Upon entering the historic Orderly Room at Parks Canada's Halifax Citadel National Historic Site, all participants will sign their enlistment papers before receiving their pay in the form of the Queen's Shilling. Both enlistment papers and shilling are included keepsakes.
Try on authentic uniform pieces including head gear, kilts or the famous red coat of a soldier, and take time to enjoy photo opportunities before moving through the other program elements.
