  • To get there, take a 30-minute transfer and spend 4 hours relaxing in the sun. The shuttle buses departs from the beach hourly until 2pm, returning to the pier.

  • You can sunbathe, unwind, and recharge on this peaceful beach break. Rent a beach chair, stretch out on the black sand, and soak up the sun.

  • On this adventure you will…

  • You will board a powered catamaran two minutes’ walk from where the Cruise Ship docks. Once aboard, the Captain will give the safety briefing to the snorkel group and safety waivers must be filled out by each snorkeler. Snorkel equipment will be distributed and fitted by each person.

  • Then, you will cruise south toward the Soufriere Scottshead Marine Reserve along the west coast of Dominica for approximately fifteen minutes. This coastline offers dramatic views of lush mountains soaring to the clouds and scattered quaint fishing villages sleepily sitting on the ocean’s edge. Various species of marine birds circle the blue skies and occasionally, a sea turtle pops up for a quick peak of the boat.

  • Once in the Reserve, the boat moors at the Northern tip, at Champagne Reef.

  • The snorkel guide gives a briefing of the site and the do’s and don’t’s before the real fun begins. Everyone gets into the water and the snorkeling guides take the group on a guided tour of the reef, starting in a sand bed and working towards the reef. They will point out the rare things to see and provide the names of species of fish and coral life. The reef drops to about 50 feet to the West, giving a dramatic plunging effect of marine life. The tour ends close to shore atop vents that pump hot fresh water from the sea bed, as bubbles emerge from the water, making you feel as though you are swimming through a glass of Champagne.

  • Reboard your motorcoach for a 30-minute drive to Trafalgar Falls, one of Dominica's most amazing sights. A short walk of 10 minutes through ginger plantations, vanilla orchards, and lush tropical rainforest leads you to a platform where you can witness the majestic Falls for the first time. The view you get to see for 45 minutes is absolutely breathtaking and will leave you in awe.

  • We will start with a cultural drive through the Capital of Roseau to the Morne Bruce Viewpoint. This point is excellent for photos showing where the capital meets the Caribbean Sea.

  • Next stop will be the Botanical Gardens where you will be able to see the famous and endangered Sissereau and Jaco parrots in protective cages along with many large trees, exotic flowers and tropical plants.

  • From here we continue towards the interior of Dominica. The drive will make you understand why Dominica is rightfully called the Nature Island of the Caribbean. You will pass tropical rainforest and many plantations with various fruit trees such as Mango, Banana, Avocado and Cacao to name a few.

  • We will make a stop at the Jaco Falls where you will enjoy a complimentary rum-fruit drink and seasonal fruits.   • The best of two worlds! Come river tube down a beautiful river with a combination with the exotic Jaco falls. This combination is one of the latest must-do adventures in the Caribbean!

  • On this adventure you will…

  • You will start with a scenic drive through the interior of the island to the Jaco falls. This is a nice little waterfall that you can view from a viewpoint or walk down to the pool while enjoying a refreshing dip in the water.

  • We continue on our way towards the Hibiscus Eco Village, which is the starting point of the tubing. When reaching the site you will be welcomed by a traditional dance performance conducted by a Carib Indian cultural group. The Eco-village is also known for its beautiful surroundings and natural river pools. With changing rooms, washrooms and easy river access this site is a perfect starting point for your river tubing.

  • This is not only an exciting river-adventure but also a very beautiful and peaceful voyage in the heart of the green nature. You will see various bird life, vegetation and spectacular scenery staged by the beautiful valley of Concord. You will be traveling down the boundary line (the river) to the last and only Carib Indian territory in the world.

  • The river will take you on a good combination of fast mini-rapids and lazy slow flowing pools, which makes it both fun-filled and relaxing. Your journey will be approximately 1.5 hours of fun water adventure.

  • Step aboard this 1 ½ hour trolley train tour around the capital of Dominica.

  • The train will make its first stop at a local church. It is a small Catholic church which is the main religion on the island. Here you get an opportunity to go inside and take photos.

  • Dominica is called the "Nature Island" of the Caribbean and is known for its 365 rivers. Enroute to the Botanical Gardens, we will make a short photo stop at the Roseau River which floats along the capital city. The train conductor will share his vast knowledge about the islands wildlife and what fishes that can be found in our rivers.

  • Last stop will be at the Botanica Gardens where we will take an optional walk through the gardens with its large exotic trees and plants. Here you will visit the endemic parrots in their protective cages while sipping on a complimentary fruit or rum punch.

  • On the way you will see bustling street life and vendors as the train goes through the most unspoiled and untouched capital of the Caribbean. The conductor will point out buildings and landmarks as you pass them by. Take a photo of the colonial architecture as you passing through the winding alleys and streets.

  • On this adventure you will…

  • Travel by motorcoach for 35 minutes to Trafalgar Falls, a picturesque area in the south-central part of Dominica. The falls are fascinating as they cascade side by side, having carved deep gorges for themselves. Your first stop will be at the top of the falls.

  • To get to the viewpoint, take a 10-12 minute walk through ginger plant and vanilla orchid growth. Once you arrive, enjoy the scenery and take pictures.

  • After visiting Trafalgar Falls, re-board the motorcoach for a 50-minute journey to Layou River. This river is an ideal location for embarking on a tubing adventure. You will experience an adrenaline rush as you descend through the rapids, while expert guides ensure your safety. The winding Layou River will provide you with an ever-changing experience as you maneuver through the bubbling waters and reach the calm pools.

  • After finishing your journey, take a break and enjoy a refreshing drink before boarding the motorcoach back to the ship.

  • It is the largest lake on the island, and it supplies the Titou Gorge and the Trafalgar Falls with water.

  • At the lake, pause for a 55-minute recharge before heading for the Titou Gorge and a short up-current swim through a narrow opening leading to a waterfall.

  • Translated literally to mean “little throat,” this adventure is through an opening in the rock, and is guaranteed to provide an exciting adrenaline rush.

  • Board a minivan for a 30-minute ride to the launch site.

  • Once there, you will receive a 15-minute safety briefing and be given your gear: a life vest, a modified inner tube, and a paddle. Then, you'll be ready to get into the river and start your journey!

  • With everyone in the water, your guides will set you lose to begin your 80-minute journey, gently spinning and swirling in the current, taking in the changing exotic scenery at the same time.

  • The expert guides are always there to guarantee your comfort and safety during your scenic river journey. You can even take a brief stop to enjoy the popular Dominican pastime of river bathing before continuing to your exit point.

  • At the Reception Center, when you get back on land, we will be served refreshments, including soda.   • You will board your bus and will have a guided 45 minute drive towards the Morne Trois Piton National Park where the Emerald Pool is surrounded by verdant forest and offers swimmers and waders a cooling respite on humid days. Just ten minutes off the interior Roseau-Castle Bruce Road, it’s the most accessible waterfall in the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

  • Spanny Falls are not widely known. It is not too hard to get to, so that is kind of strange. The Spanny Falls glitters with water sparkles among trees and grass similar to a silver stream, tight at the top and fluffy at the bottom. Many tourists won’t visit the place because they are not aware of its beauty or even its existence. But you now are!

  • In the interior of Dominica lays more this beauty. A walk from Spanny Falls and down some steps will bring you to the spectacular view of the Jacko Falls. This is one of the easiest waterfalls to reach in Dominica and quite picturesque. It is on the way to the majority of other natural attractions of the island, so worth visiting.

  • After departing Jacko Falls proceed to Zeb Zepis Bistro for refreshments before continuing to the Trafalgar Falls.

  • A waterfall is always a lovely thing to see. Spouting water attracts anybody’s attention and may keep it for a really long while. Travel to the village of Trafalgar with a unique view of the falls which cascade side by side out of the deep gorges they have carved for themselves. On arriving there, your Tour Guide will lead you to a ten-minute trek to the viewing platform of these majestic waterfalls.

  • We then take you back to the cruise ship berth.

  • Just a short walk from your ship will take you to your animal watching adventure vessel. After a quick briefing you will be off on your adventure.

  • You will cruise 3 to 8 miles off shore to begin the search for local wildlife. Most commonly seen animals are: Sperm, Pilot, False Killer Whales, Spotted, Spinner, and Bottle Nose Dolphin.

  • Every now and then, the boat will stop and lower hydrophones in the water so you can listen for the rhythmic clicking of Sperm Whales, pinging of Pilot Whales, whistling of Dolphin, or the singing of Humpbacks. Your guide will also be able to provide detail commentary on those you get to experience.

  • On your way back to your ship you will enjoy juice and rum punch.
