Disney Adventure to Debut The Lion King Celebration in the Sky Fireworks Show Narrated by Shah Rukh Khan
Disney Cruise Line is bringing an all-new nighttime spectacular to the seas with The Lion King: Celebration in the Sky, a fireworks show created exclusively for its newest ship, the Disney Adventure. Set to debut when the ship begins sailing from Singapore, the show will be narrated by global superstar Shah Rukh Khan, adding a powerful and culturally resonant voice to this one-of-a-kind experience.
A Signature Disney Experience—Reimagined
Disney Cruise Line remains the only cruise line in the world to offer fireworks at sea, and The Lion King: Celebration in the Sky takes that tradition in a bold new direction. Unlike the pirate-themed fireworks common across the fleet, this production is inspired by one of Disney’s most beloved stories and will be found only aboard the Disney Adventure.
Designed as a communal moment for guests of all ages, the show invites families and friends to gather on deck and watch the night sky come alive through a blend of pyrotechnics, dramatic lighting, and music rooted in the rhythms and themes of The Lion King.
Shah Rukh Khan Brings the Story to Life
Widely known as the “King of Bollywood,” Shah Rukh Khan brings a deep personal connection to the project. He previously voiced Mufasa in the Hindi-language versions of Disney’s live-action The Lion King (2019) and Mufasa (2024). For this new fireworks spectacular, Disney Cruise Line says Khan will “lend his legendary charisma, unmistakable voice and storytelling power” to guide guests through the emotional journey of the show.

Iconic Music, Performed on a Grand Scale
Music plays a central role in The Lion King: Celebration in the Sky. The show features fan-favorite songs from The Lion King films, including “Circle of Life,” “Hakuna Matata,” “He Lives in You,” and “Can You Feel the Love Tonight?”
The score was recorded with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and incorporates the distinctive harmonies of South Africa’s Ndlovu Youth Choir, creating a sound that is both powerful and emotionally rich. Together with the visual spectacle overhead, the music helps transform the fireworks display into a fully immersive storytelling experience.

Sailing Soon from Singapore
The Lion King: Celebration in the Sky will be presented on select evenings during both three-night and four-night sailings aboard the Disney Adventure. Guests will be able to find performance times and details in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once onboard.
The Disney Adventure is Disney Cruise Line’s first ship to homeport in Asia and is scheduled to set sail on its maiden voyage from Singapore on March 10, 2026. With days at sea designed to highlight onboard entertainment, dining, shopping, and family activities, this new fireworks spectacular is poised to become one of the ship’s most memorable experiences.

Prepare to be dazzled! Disney Cruise Line, the only cruise line to feature fireworks at sea, will continue this guest-favorite tradition onboard the Disney Adventure with the exclusive, “The Lion King: Celebration in the Sky.” This spectacular will be a tribute to the beloved tale of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ The Lion King and its characters as it lights up the night sky.
“The Lion King: Celebration in the Sky” celebrates the story and its characters through stunning pyrotechnics and dramatic lighting effects, and honors the iconic songs from the film. These include original arrangements of “Circle of Life,” “Hakuna Matata,” “He Lives in You,” and “Can You Feel the Love Tonight?” performed by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra with the unique voices of the Ndlovu Youth Choir from South Africa.
Alongside the fireworks and musical numbers, internationally acclaimed star and entertainment icon Shah Rukh Khan, who voiced Mufasa in the Hindi-language version of Disney’s The Lion King (2019) and Mufasa (2024), will narrate the show, connecting guests to the story in a new way.
