Deck 11 and Deck 10
At the heart of the ship, amid a charming courtyard and majestic stage, lies a special gathering place brimming with the magic of 100 years of Disney storytelling. Because every story begins with a spark of imagination, your holiday at sea begins here, with a high-energy Let’s Set Sail dance party. Throughout your voyage, you can also catch captivating stage performances like Avengers Assemble!, spot some favorite Disney Characters and enjoy Indian and Pacific cuisines at Gramma Tala’s Kitchen and Mowgli’s Eatery.
Disney Imagination Garden will “transport guests into the pages of well-loved Disney stories alongside their favorite characters.”

One key topiary will feature Sorcerer's Apprentice Mickey, who will reside at the top of the grand staircase.
This courtyard will also feature a three-deck-tall storybook castle showpiece.
As Disney explains, this art was inspired by both real and imagined castles, with nods to the

Presiding over Disney Imagination Garden will be a stunning storybook castle showpiece soaring three decks tall. This beautiful artwork is inspired by castles, both real and imagined, from Disney stories and theme parks across the globe. Look closely to find nods to the Walt Disney Pictures castle, Sleeping Beauty’s castle at Disneyland Paris and Rapunzel’s castle, as well as influences from sketches done by legendary Disney artists such as Herbert Ryman, Frank Armitage and Eyvind Earle. The Disney Imagination Garden castle will sit above a decorative waterfall surrounded by a wave motif to celebrate Disney Cruise Line’s first castle at sea.
Set in front of three-deck-high LED screens, the Garden Stage will host an exciting line-up of shows all day long – whether it’s kicking off the vacation with Let’s Set Sail, a high-energy dance party that will jumpstart the fun on embarkation day; watching an epic battle of Marvel Super Heroes and Villains in Avengers Assemble!; singing and grooving along to classic Disney tunes during Mickey’s Color Spin Dance Party or getting physical with the Baymax Super Exercise Expo.

Main stage for the shows
Highly consider a verandah to watch the shows rather than fighting the crowds
This is the emotional center of the ship. But it’s not the Atrium or Grand Hall you’re used to from classic Disney Cruise Line ships.
Located in the center of the ship, this open-air courtyard acts as both a gathering space and an entertainment venue. It’s one of the most visually striking areas onboard, particularly at night when the lighting throughout the Imagination Garden Courtyard and surrounding Disney Discovery Reef promenade comes alive.
Shows on stage: Let’s set sail, Avengers Assemble, Baymax Hero Exercise, Duffy and the Friend Ship Show
Disney Imagination Garden will be anchored by the Garden Stage on one end and the larger-than-life castle artwork on the other, with a promenade in between providing families with opportunities to explore, connect and dine. Directly in front of the stage will be an open “lawn” area leading to a large staircase that will double as amphitheater-style seating, perfect for enjoying live entertainment on the Garden Stage. On either side of the staircase, intricately adorned arches and leafy tree branches with hanging lanterns will further evoke the area’s storybook garden theme.
At the top of the grand staircase, guests will discover a charming garden courtyard and bar surrounded by trees designed to look like storybook cut-outs and decorated with images of familiar animal pals. At the center of the courtyard, a Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey Mouse topiary will stand with his wand held high as if conjuring this magical garden where beloved characters and stories bloom to life.
A captivating program of high-energy shows, character appearances and magical surprises will await families on the state-of-the-art Garden Stage. Complete with three-deck-high LED screens, special effects and innovative theatrical tools, this cutting-edge performance venue will delight guests of all ages throughout each day of their voyage aboard the Disney Adventure.

Storybook Castle Installed Update 10/30/2025
The storybook castle, standing three decks tall, has taken its place at the creative heart of the Disney Adventure in Disney Imagination Garden. The art piece is a first-of-its-kind in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, bringing guest-favorite fairytales to life.
The Walt Disney Imagineering team drew inspiration from the iconic castles featured in beloved Disney films and Disney Parks around the world. The paper cut-out style, reminiscent of a pop-up storybook, invites guests to step into their own story.
The castle is inspired by the spirit of adventure and the sea, with nods to timeless Disney storytelling. Artistic details, from the wave pattern surrounding the frame to the rich blues that color the facade, create a celebration of water for the first Disney castle at sea.
At the center of the castle is the Disney family crest (which every Disney Parks castle around the world also features!) and a beautiful three-panel-stained glass window. Each panel represents a Disney heroine and princess. On these panels, you will find elements of nature including the water, sky and the heart of Te Fiti from Moana; the sun, earth and the Sundrop flower from Tangled; and the glistening ice and wind from Frozen.
There are a number of “Easter eggs,” too, with tributes to Disney traditions and even a hidden Mickey. At the base of the storybook castle is a waterfall reminiscent of the Walt Disney Pictures castle shown before every Disney film.
Garden Stage
30 ft tell, 50 ft wide, 2,400 speaks, 2 deck tall
Behind that massive LED wall sits a speaker array spanning nearly two full decks: 81 modules, 27 per array, containing 2,400 individual speakers in total. The system moves back and forth on a frame. And the reason it can work behind a screen at all? The LED panels themselves are a special “mesh” or transparent design — every other row of pixels is intentionally absent, letting sound pass directly through what appears, from the audience’s perspective, to be a crystal-clear image.
The engineering goes even further. Because the Imagination Garden is flanked by guest staterooms — an arrangement unlike any other DCL venue — the team used beam-forming speaker technology capable of directing audio precisely where they want it, keeping sound from bleeding into the cabins on either side. Performers even wear headphones during rehearsals so the system can be calibrated without disturbing guests.
New to the Disney Adventure: performers don’t just fly in a flat plane over the stage. They fly in three dimensions — X, Y, and Z — anywhere within the entire Imagination Garden space. Characters can descend from above, swoop toward the balconies where guests are watching, and turn what might otherwise be a passive performance into something that feels almost like a personal meet-and-greet, suspended in midair.
The technology to make that happen is a custom-built winch system. And it’s enormous. “The winches for this are huge. It doesn’t fit through any door.” The solution? “We had to kind of peel off the ceiling, kind of like a tin can of tuna, and drop the winch in there and then seal it back up.”
The engineering challenge didn’t stop at installation. When performers fly at the highest point in their trajectory, the tension on each leg of the bridle system reaches 500% of the performer’s body weight. The entire system required a year and a half of design and testing before installation even began, followed by another six months of stress testing on-site.
The payoff for all of that: guests sitting in the Imagination Garden balconies watching a show may find a performer flying toward them close enough to feel like a private encounter. It’s the kind of detail that reads as pure magic from the audience side, and represents two-plus years of engineering work from behind the scenes.
At one point, we were 100% over budget. We estimated originally it was going to be 140 tons. That was way more than we were allowed. Through careful engineering and material substitutions, the team cut 70 tons of steel out of the design. Seventy tons. That’s not a rounding error — that’s a fundamental re-engineering of the ship’s signature spaces.
If booking a room to watch make sure you are not early to bed or an afternoon napper because of all the load music and events at multiple times
